Mail ship cover for U.S.S. Astoria honoring Navy Day 1946; purple cachet with image of battleship and text” Victor in war / Guardian in peace"; postmarked with illegible date on the U.S.S. Astoria with four-bar cancellation mark on one 3-cent stamp; on reverse, illustration of America flag; identified by donor with additional information: "Pacific Naval Ship covers".
