Airmail flight cover commemorating Wolfgang von Gronau Round-the-World Flight, Shanghai - Manila Segment, September 24-27, 1932; envelope with purple cachet identifying the flight; typewritten text at bottom “By the German round the world flight Captain Wolfgang von Gronau with his flying boat ‘The Dornier Wahl’”; three identical postmarks on front, September 24, 1932, Shanghai; 5 Chinese stamps (one missing according to donor), three green, one purple, one orange; addressed to Mr. J.W. Clagne; backstamp: September 27, 1932, Manila, P.I. with football-shaped 1 killer.
