Airmail flight cover commemorating first Pan American clipper flight from Honolulu to Wake Island; third Pacific survey flight; routed from Honolulu to Midway, Wake, Midway, Honolulu, and New York; blue cachet with image of route map with in-flight aircraft and signature of Captain R.O.D. Sullivan; two stamps: two different orange 6-cent (United States); two postmarks: August 13, 1935 in Honolulu and August 22, 1935 in Honolulu; football-shaped cancellation / killer stamps with “Oahu” at center”; no backstamp; envelope: white envelope with preprinted addresses for Pan American Airways offices in San Francisco, Honolulu, Wake Island, and New York; includes handwritten information about arrival and departure times for Midway and Wake Islands.
