Airmail flight cover for U.S. Navy West Hawaii Survey Flight, Pearl Harbor - Hermes Reef, April 10, 1936; envelope with large orange cachet at left with text "West Hawaii Survey Exp. 1936" and illustration of sextant and wings; postmarked April 10, 1936 on the U.S.S. Avocet with “Pearl and Hermes Reef” cancellation mark over 1-cent and 2-cent stamps; two backstamps: April 10, 1936 on the U.S.S. Oolala with “Kure Is. Flagship” cancellation, and U.S.S. Avocet, April 14, 1936 with “Pearl and Hermes Reef” cancellation; addressed to: Lt. J.G. Johnson.
